2010 Dog of the Year

Every year, the GSPC of Idaho awards one German Shorthaired Pointer the dog of the year.  This is a very prestigious award to our club and has been awarded to some incredible dogs over the past 50 years.

Jake

FC/AFC Lonewolf's Huachuca Jake

Jake is owned and handled by Dean Crabbs.  This four-year-old earned his AKC Field Championship and Amateur Field Championship in 2009.  In 2010, he competed in Open Limited Gun Dog stakes, placing in 4 out of 5 he entered, in southern Arizona, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming.

Jake received qualifying scores in two AKC Master Hunt Tests.  In addition, Jake was the runner-up Champion in the NGSPA Region 8 Open Shooting Dog Championship, in Cheyenne, WY.  Jake qualified with a water retrieve at the 2010 club event in Vale, OR.
